General Oil Stains: Use alkaline laundry powder or dish soap. Soak the workwear in warm water (30–40°C) for 15–20 minutes, apply the cleaning agent to the stained area and rub gently, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Heavy/Stubborn Oil Stains:Use a specialized oil stain cleaner; spray it onto the stain, let it sit briefly to fully penetrate, then rub and wash. For mechanical oil stains, place oil-absorbent paper above and below the stain and iron at a low temperature to draw out the oil before proceeding with a standard wash.
Oil Removal for Cotton Workwear: Soak the garment in rice-rinsing water for 30 minutes, then wash and rub as usual; this removes stains while minimizing fiber damage.
Specialized Cleaning Methods for Workwear Made of Special Materials
Workwear with Waterproof Coating:Use a mild, neutral detergent to gently spot-clean oil stains, then wash the entire garment gently; avoid strong detergents that could damage the protective coating.
Breathable Acid-Resistant Workwear: Hand-wash or machine-wash (gentle cycle) using a neutral or mildly alkaline detergent; keep water temperature below 40°C. Do not use bleach or organic solvents, and avoid scrubbing vigorously with hard brushes. Wash briefly, rinse thoroughly, and air-dry in a cool, ventilated place. When semi-dry, iron at approximately 115°C to help maintain acid-resistant performance.
Non-breathable Acid-Resistant Workwear: Rinse with plenty of clean water and gently brush off dirt with a soft-bristled brush. Do not use hot water or organic solvents; avoid exposure to direct sunlight or high heat (baking) to prevent material aging, cracking, and loss of protective properties.
Anti-static Workwear:For hand-washing, use warm water below 30°C and a neutral soap or enzyme-free detergent, rubbing gently. For machine-washing, use a specialized clean-room washing machine; check for damaged parts and fasten all closures before washing. A compliant anti-static agent may be added during the rinse cycle. After washing, air-dry naturally or tumble-dry at 150°C for over 4 minutes, then store in a dry, ventilated area.
