Sole Materials
Rubber: Wear-resistant, slip-resistant, elastic, and waterproof; suitable for the vast majority of work environments.
Polyurethane (PU): Lightweight and resistant to oil, acids, and alkalis; currently the most widely used sole material.
EVA: Lightweight and flexible with good colorability; often used in entry-level to mid-range safety shoes, though its wear resistance is relatively average.
Other materials such as TPR, TPU, and PVC are also used to meet specific protective needs.
Upper Materials
Natural Leather: Exemplified by top-grain cowhide; offers excellent breathability and wear resistance, making it the top choice for high-end safety shoes.
Canvas/Nylon: Lightweight, wear-resistant, and cost-effective; suitable for summer use or light-duty work environments.
Synthetic Leather: Waterproof and low-cost; commonly used in entry-level to mid-range models, though breathability is somewhat inferior.
