Consumers often ask exactly how long a pair of safety shoes can be worn. In reality, their service life depends on the circumstances. While many factories replace them every six months, and national regulations mandate an inspection every three months-a requirement rarely enforced in practice-a lifespan of one year is generally considered reasonable.

Many factors influence the service life of safety shoes. Regarding national standards, products that meet these requirements are covered by mandatory "Three Guarantees" policies (guarantees for repair, replacement, and refund); issues such as sole breakage, upper material failure, or delamination are covered for replacement or refund within three months of purchase. In actual practice, the lifespan depends largely on the work environment and how the shoes are used: in favorable environments with low-intensity use, they can last anywhere from one to three years, whereas in harsh environments-such as chemical plants or electroplating workshops-highly corrosive conditions may limit their useful life to just three months.
